RACE REPORT #343 - July 19th 2025 (HSnm, APCnm, MPnm)

Five drivers were present for event #343, featuring our Historic Saloon, American Pony Car and Modified Production Classes. Merryl also dropped in, being a great help with re-slotting errant cars, of which there were quite a few.

We ran two thirty lap races for each class, the first three races being for the three scheduled classes, then repeating this for the second round of races. There was a lot of action throughout, including some impromptu discussion regarding drive-throughs during one of the races. However one driver stood out, qualifying fastest in all three classes, then dominating the wins with his lovely and very quick cars, despite retiring from the lead on the seventeenth lap the first race.

During our second boardroom meeting we decided on a way to deal with the drive-throughs at our future events. This will be officially published for feedback in the upcoming days.

Diversity Award
The diversity award went to Steve, having driven five different cars at the event. These included a BMW 2800CS and Escort Mk II in Historic Saloon, a Mustang Notchback in American Pony Car and two different Peugeot 406 machines in Modified Production.

Great racing event at FRC, despite again a smallish driver turnout. There were some good battles in all classes and some of the times were quite close. At the end of it all, congrats to as follows:
Gordon for winning Historic Saloon
Pete for winning Pony Car, Modified Production and the event overall
O'Brie and Gordon for joint Index Of Performance homours.
Looking forward to the next event.

Hi Gordon,
slight correction needed in that I drove five cars, not four. The Peugeot 406s in Mod.Prod. races 1 and 2 were different cars.
