There was a great turnout of eight drivers for our Historic Saloon, American Pony Car and Modified Production races. It was wonderful to once again have Ramesh attend as well as Mark, who has had to skip several events because of an injury. Merryl also came by and stayed as long as he could, considering that he'd had a long day from early morning and would have to rise at 4:30 AM the following morning. The rest of the usual crew were also present, including Peter (of course), Steve, O'Brie, Luke, Warren and I.
As has become the norm, there were some very fast cars on track - they seem to be getting faster and faster; however Ram had one car in particular – a white Peugeot 406 – which obliterated all records by doing a qualifying time of 7.523 sec, more than half a second quicker than the next fastest qualifier, another of his Peugeots driven by Warren.
Because we had eight drivers in attendance, we had to split the qualifying sessions into two four-car groups. In the case of Historic Saloon, we then had two four car races comprising the fastest four, followed by the slower four. For round two of the races, we had a third Historic Saloon race with the four from the first race plus the top two from the second. The American Pony Car and Modified Production races were run in the normal fashion, the fastest six qualifiers doing the first race. Then, based on the number of drivers still present for the second races, the plan was to drop the fifth and sixth driver and replace them with drivers who qualified seventh and eighth. As it turned out, Warren took Luke's at that poing vacant spot for the second APC race and O'Brie's for the second MP race.
It was an overall enjoyable event with some incredibly fast laps for the records.

NOTE: Each of these three races is treated as a different class by the software, even though they fall under the umbrella of "Historic Saloon" (the software automatically differentiates classes by their name and each one has a different name, hence three classes). The third result graphic with the class name "Historic Saloon" is not the total of the previous two, it is for its own race. The points for each of these three classes are added to the "Champion Driver of the Event" points like all the other races for the various classes.
